Géraldine Chauvet is a French operatic mezzo-soprano .She was born in Bayeux and studied music at the University of Tours, initially specialising in flute and piano. She studied singing with Udo Reinmann and later with Grace Bumbry in Salzburg. *Madame Chauvet came to the World attention in 2009 , embodying ''Carmen'' at the Arena di Verona under the baton of Placido DOMINGO with the Stage Direction of Franco ZEFFIRELLI. Just a couple of years later she made a double explosive debut in USA , at first at the Avery Fisher Hall as Adriano in RIENZI by R.Wagner and six months later at the METROPOLITAN OPERA HOUSE od NEW YORK as Sesto in La CLEMENZA di TITO by W.A.Mozart , two demanding Roles, getting an enormious success .
